I'm Robin. After a lifetime working in education, I'm excited to now follow my dream of gardening and floristry.
I grew up in the Lake District in England and the South Coast of Natal, where I nurtured a love of wild plants. I spent my childhood learning about the meadow and woodland plants of England, as well as the local and indigenous plants found in my beloved South Africa.
My mother in particular, but my grandmother too, were both keen horticulturalists and had an extensive knowledge of growing cut flowers as well as vegetables. In our home you could always find a vase filled to the brim with beautiful blooms on my mum's dining table. In their own way they passed on their knowledge and love about flowers and I am so glad they did.
The Robin Garden is my project and my passion. Now, when I'm not learning about floristry and horticulture, you might see me in the gardens at Regents Park but sadly since moving to north London I am no longer volunteering at RHS Wisley. I do lots of garden work in and around Palmers Green and my client list is ever growing.
There's a magical world of plants and flowers to explore.
So tell me what you are looking for and I'll be your guide.
